The Business of Serving: How to Start and Maintain a 501(c)(3) Organization MEDF hosted a free nonprofit seminar on Saturday, November 17. More than 125 people filled the auditorium at the headquarters of the Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc., in downtown Detroit to how to make a difference in the community through service. Presenters from MEDF, Clark Hill PLC, CCC Because We Care Foundation, and The Skillman Foundation provided attendees with information aimed at helping them navigate their way through the process of creating and maintaining a successful 501(c)(3) organization.
